About Global Cuisine

After spending over a decade travelling and working abroad, Helen and Dave Pearson returned home to New Zealand with a wealth of knowledge and experience gained through careers working in the hospitality industry.

A combined vision of offering great food and impeccable service they decided to set up their own catering business and Global Cuisine catering was launched in 2007

Dave is “The Man” behind the food. With his awesome team of professional chefs they design menus, cook up a storm, and quite honestly it tastes and looks amazing!

Helen is the office girl. While of course she takes charge of the day to day tasks of the office Helen also works with clients to help organise your event catering plan. Helen and the attentive Global Cuisine front of house team will effortlessly serve drinks and food which is created in the Global Cuisine Kitchen.

Our concept is simple. A mobile kitchen, a team of professional chefs with a passion to deliver the finest cuisine using the freshest seasonal ingredients, truly professional staff that go the extra mile to contribute to making your event a magnificent occasion. The menu selection offered is just the beginning. The food created for you will be a result of exploring ideas to compliment your event.

We Cater to:

Film/Television We can have our mobile kitchen available to you 24 hours a day 7 days a week to ensure your cast and crew's dietary requirements are well taken care of.

Corporate Events Whether it's a working lunch, team building day, or entertaining clients, a lack of kitchen facilities won't stop you holding your function where you would like to.

Weddings We'll work with you to create an unforgettable menu to compliment your special day.

Festivals/Field Days/Concerts/Sporting Events/Studs & Farms We will travel to you and cater your next event. Our mobile kitchen is complete with power and water and we can provide any style of food to suit your requirements.

Events Coordinators You may come across an amazing venue or location but cannot use it due to a lack of catering facilities. With Global Cuisine this is no longer a problem. We will come to your location and fulfil any brief you give us. Global Cuisine will deliver on time, on budget and with minimum fuss

Be as flexible as possible with dates; selecting off-peak periods may reduce costs

Make bookings well in advance

Working with the Global Team

Meet with our catering manager and chef to discuss your event. We can suggest a tailored menu that is best suited to your guests using the freshest and best seasonal produce available

Check that the location of your event has good access and adequate space for our mobile kitchen

Allow for minimum and maximum guest attendance

Check booking terms and conditions including payment terms

Check references from previous events

We were absolutely thrilled with the service provided by Global Cuisine for our wedding. We wanted great food but with a relaxed atmosphere so we went for the Tapas menu as opposed to a sit-down meal.

We got exactly what we wanted. All the guests raved about the food, even well after the day. It was fabulous – delicious, and presented beautifully. I was a little concerned that people would not feel as full as they might have with a full meal – but I was wrong. Everyone felt well fed, finding it hard to make room for the dessert pieces towards the end of the evening.

The members of the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much of a problem. They ran the bar really well and we didn’t have to worry about anything for the whole reception, we were simply able to enjoy our day.

A huge thank you to all the staff at Global Cuisine for making our day the magical one that it was.

One of the best choices we made when planning our March 2011 Wedding was the selection of Global Cuisine as our Caterer. From the very first conversation we had with Dave, he was welcoming, easy to deal with, and after listening to our ideas he worked to ensure our ‘vision’ for the big day became a reality. It was obvious from the start that Dave and Helen have the experience and passion to do a great job, so we were able to sit back and relax as they planned, created and served our Italian family feast style meal to 90 guests.

The quality of the food Dave and his team presented was simply superb. Months on we are still getting comments on it from family and friends. Our only regret was not packing up leftovers for a midnight snack as we partied into the night.

As well as the fabulous food, Global Cuisine provided an outstanding team of wait staff for the evening. They seemed to appear out of nowhere just when you thought you needed something, the rest of the time they quietly glided around doing a brilliant job and we barely even noticed they were there.

Dave and Helen brought a fantastic sense of control and calmness to the catering service of our wedding. The provided a complete package of advice, flexibility and wonderful food, without nonsense or complication, not to mention the kind of superb service that made our night so special. And of course they have an awesome catering truck that can cook up a storm anywhere you need it!

Quite simply, we're thrilled with what Dave and Helen delivered. We highly recommend Global Cuisine for any event and we look forward to the next big occasion we can hire them for!

Hi Dave. I know Vanessa and Mike are working on their thank yous and I do not want to steal their thunder but I just wanted to say what a fabulous, fabulous wedding you helped us create. Your guys were awesome. I can now tell couples booking Bella Vista - quite honestly, that they will also get the best caterers in town (this side of Timbuktu if you like).

Hi there Helen. Thank you very much for your note and for following up with us after our special day. Apologies for the delay in replying; we have spent the past 2 weeks reminiscing about our magical, magical day!!

We have had nothing but raving compliments from our guests about both the food and your waiting staff. One of our guests described our wedding menu as "Having died and gone to heaven", and that was only after the entree!! We've also had numerous comments on the attentiveness of the staff, how perfectly they managed the timing of putting down and picking up plates with speeches, how they managed all special dietary requirements etc. One guest described them as "faultless".

The steak drew numerous comments; everyone I spoke to about it rated it as the best steak they had ever eaten. Everyone was also really impressed with the 'alternate drop' idea; in a setting where few people knew many others, this was a great way to encourage people to interact and share. Nobody I have spoken to had ever been to an event where this had been done before, and it was extremely well received. Thank you for the idea!

Everyone was really impressed and having such wonderful, wonderful gourmet New Zealand food in such a fabulous setting was a dream come true for us. The girls on the bar were also amazing and so friendly

Terms & Conditions

Staff rates Waiter and Bar Staff @ $20 per hour / Maître ‘D @ $25 per hour. Our team wear smart black uniforms with a long service apron.

Confirmation and deposit Tentative bookings will be held for 48 hours after the original reservation request which must be received by Global Cuisine Ltd in writing.

Final food selections and indicative numbers are to be advised in writing at least twenty-one days prior to the event start date when catering for events of 50 people or more, otherwise seven working days prior to the event start date.

To confirm this booking, a signed copy of these terms and conditions, together with a deposit equal to 25% of the estimated total amount will be required within fourteen days of receipt of this contract.

72 hours prior to the event date final payment representing the total estimated cost less the 25% deposit is required.

Reduction in numbers Any reduction in attendance numbers subsequent to notification of final numbers will be subject to charging the full contracted amount.

Payment Cheque payments are due 10 calendar working days prior to the arrival date.

Cancellation Cancellations and or event changes must be advised in writing.

Cancellations after written confirmation and deposit have been received will be subject to the following cancellation fee and charges.

Notice within 60 days prior to event / 50% of deposit is forfeited as a cancellation fee

Notice within 30 days prior to the event / 100% of the deposit is forfeited as a cancellation fee
